The Academy Is... - About A Girl [Music Video - TVRip]

The video for the single revolves around William Beckett and his bandmates in high school. Beckett has it made; he has the girl, the friends and the popularity. However, this turns out to just be a daydream; his sole friends at school are his bandmates and the girl is in a relationship with a jock football player.

Throughout the course of the video, Beckett dreams of having the girl until finally, they embrace and drive off in what appears to be another one of his daydreams. However, this daydream is revealed to be that of the girl's, longing for Beckett though trapped in a relationship with another guy. Beckett and her exchange eye contact, creating a possible future for the two.

This music video was created as a spoof of Fast Times at Ridgemont High. The iconic daydream sequence in the film may have influenced the theme of the video. It was filmed at the same location Fast Times was shot, Van Nuys Senior High School, in Van Nuys, CA.

Jack White feat. Alicia Keys - Another Way To Die [Music Video - DVDRip]

The music video for the song was released on Yahoo! Video on September 29, 2008. It has since made its way onto YouTube and other video sharing sites. It features White on both guitar and drums and Keys singing and on piano, with video effects and CGI in the background featuring wavy lines and use of dawn and dusk. A shot of Daniel Craig as James Bond appears in the very last shot, which appeared in the theatrical trailer for the film.

In the opening titles to the theatrical film, the song begins when Bond fires a bullet. He roams the desert aiming his gun in every direction, and slowly the sand dunes he has been patrolling become nude women in silhouette. Aside from the desert theme, there are also visual cues of the night sky, and lines of celestial navigation seen. Everything is black, blue, and orange.

T.I feat. Rihanna - Live Your Life [Music Video - DVDRip]

The video premiered on October 28, 2008 on BET. The video is a mini-movie starring T.I and Rihanna. The music video uses the radio edit of the extended song. In the opening scene T.I is walking and he says "Life is an interesting journey; you never know where it’ll take you. Peaks and valleys, twists and turns, you can get the surprise of your life. Sometimes on the way to where you going you might think, this is the worst time in my life.

But you know what, at the end of the road through all the adversity, if you can get where you wanted to be, you remember whatever don’t kill you make you stronger, and all of the adversity was worth it. On your way to the top you’ll do anything. But how do you get your life back when you get there…yeah…that’s my dilemma."

The song then starts and goes from a series of underground shots and Rihanna in her dressing room. T.I. goes back to walking and is showed with blood all over his face and other various cuts. He gets thrown out of the car and kicked by a fairly large man. He arrives at a drug-deal with about four dealers. He then proceeds as usual before he lands a punch on one of the dealers. He is then beaten up by the rest of the dealers.

The video then takes its turn with going from T.I. singing in a recording studio to him and in front of a house playing dice and dominoes with some of his homies. A quick shot of the bathroom appears with T.I. looking at his briefcase of money that he is preparing. The rest of the video takes turns going from the bar where T.I. refuses a deal and Rihanna singing on stage.

The end of the video shows T.I. saying he wants out of the deal and he is seen walking into the bar with a cd in his hand. This is a flashback, referring, apparently, to the original deal that T.I. wanted to get out of. The last shot of the video is T.I. walking down the L.A. sewers, raising his hands triumphantly in the air. This video is currently #1 on BET's 106 & Park countdown.

Pink - Sober [Music Video - TVRip]

The music video was filmed in the last days of September in Stockholm, Sweden. A live video from London has been used in Australia and New Zealand to promote for the song until the official music video was released on November 25.

The video starts with views from the city and then a little TV is turned on in Pink's bedroom and Pink appears in white. The song starts, and Pink is shown in the bedroom lying on the bed alone, and a girl is shown walking out of the door of the room. As the first verse starts, Pink is shown sitting on a sofa in a party where her doppelgänger is drunk and flirting with different girls and guys. Pink's doppelgänger is shown in the bathroom, throwing up.

Pink enters the bathroom and sits beside her doppelgänger who seemed disturbed and then walks out. Pink is now lying on the bed, her doppelgänger calls her up, but Pink doesn't answer her cell. As the chorus begins, Pink is shown singing on her bed in her bedroom and on the sofa in the party. And then disturbing pictures of a white room where Pink is dressed with white outfit and wearing a white pageboy wig are shown. Verse 2 is sang in the same location.

As the chorus starts again, Pink is shown walking in the room where the party was held where everybody is blacked out and drunk, including her doppelgänger. Various scenes from the video are then shown and the video ends with one of the Pink's walking out of the door of the bedroom leaving the other Pink alone. It is unknown whether Sony will show the video on music channels, as it shows very sexual lesbian scenes with Pink and herself.

When the lesbian scene begins, Pink is lying on the bed, just wearing knickers and her bra. The other Pink then enters the room and climbs on top of the one on the bed, wearing the same clothes. They then both start having sexual intercourse with each other and start kissing each other very sexually. They the later start touching each other's legs, and start touching the breasts. After that, they then un-clip they're bra's. However, Pink's breasts are not shown.

Lady Gaga feat. Colby O' Donis and Akon - Just Dance [Music Video - DVDRip]

Joanne Stefani Germanotta (born March 20, 1986), best known by her stage name Lady GaGa, is an American singer-songwriter and musician, known for work in the electronica genre.
She attended Convent of the Sacred Heart School, an exclusive private all-girls school; also attended by Nicky and Paris Hilton. As a little girl, she remembers singing into a plastic tape recorder to the likes of Cyndi Lauper and Michael Jackson.

By age four, Lady GaGa had taught herself to play the piano by ear. When she was a teenager she penned her first song. When she was just fourteen she was playing open mic nights at New York’s Bitter End, and by the age of seventeen she was one of twenty people in the world to gain early admission to the Clive Davis program at the Tisch School of the Arts at NYU.

She was a fixture in the productions of the Regis High School Repertory, including the roles of Philia in A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum, Anna Andreyevna in The Government Inspector, Lola in Damn Yankees, Miss Adelaide in Guys and Dolls, and Alice More in A Man for All Seasons. She also sang in the productions of the Regis Jazz Band. Lady GaGa's sexuality has come under speculation many times in the media.

It was believed that she was a lesbian, until she herself revealed on an interview on MTV that she was actually a bi-sexual, also revealing many of her sexual desires and escapades, including a metallic g-string and hot tub incident, which occurred with top pop singer Katy Perry.

...More - wikipedia

The video, directed by Melina Matsoukas, starts Lady GaGa arrives with her dancers, Dina and Pepper, at a house party, which seems to have ended, and one of the dancers puts a stereo on, starting the music. The crowd at the party appear to be sleeping in different areas, and are awoken by the music.

They all start to dance, and scenes of the party are intercut with scenes of scantily dressed Lady GaGa dancing in a poncho, with a disco ball or in a small rubber pool. She wears a blue lightning shaped sticker beneath her right eye like that on the single cover. She also copies some moves from the Japanese Electrogroup Perfume.

Cameo appearances are made by Akon and Flipsyde. The song appears near the end of the dance movie Make It Happen.

Double Shot - Saving Abel

Saving Abel is an American rock band formed by Jared Weeks and Jason Null in 2004. The band's name references the biblical story of Cain and Abel. Null came up with the name saying "I googled the story of Cain and Abel and found a line about 'there was no Saving Abel,' which just jumped out at me." However despite the name, they're not a Christian band.

Jared Weeks and Jason Null formed the band in their small hometown of Corinth, Mississippi in 2004. Weeks was playing guitar at his best friend's house, when Null, who was in a rival local group walked in to rehearse with his band. Within days of that meeting, Null and Weeks were writing and honing the intimate writing style that now defines Saving Abel. In early 2005, the pair's songs caught the ear of noted producer Skidd Mills (ZZ Top, Saliva, and Robert Cray), who took the band into his 747 Studios in Memphis.

Saving Abel gradually came together with guitarist Scott Bartlett, bassist Eric Taylor, and drummer Blake Dixon. Weeks would toss Saving Abel demos onto the stage whenever bigger bands played in town. Weeks remembers: " I used to work at a hospital. I'd have to be there at 4:30 in the morning drawing blood. I'd wake people up and stick a needle in their arm. I'd be walking around the hospital, singing 'Addicted' in my head, writing down the lyrics on patients' clipboards and doctor script pads.

After shopping their EP for almost a year, a copy of 'Addicted' found its way to former Virgin A&R Consultant, Scott Frazier partner, Rick Smith. They were so excited that they sent the song to company CEO, Jason Flom. Flom heard enough to send A&R vet Kim Stephens (Collective Soul, Matchbox 20, Edwin McCain) to see the band in Jackson, TN. Saving Abel released their self-titled, major label debut album on March 11, 2008. The album features the single "Addicted" which peaked at #2 on the US Mainstream Rock Chart. As of November 2008 Saving Abel's self-titled album has sold over 222,858 copies and peaked at #53 on the Billboard 200.

The Last Shadow Puppets - My Mistakes Were Made For You [Music Video - TVRip]

The Last Shadow Puppets is a project of Alex Turner of the band Arctic Monkeys, Miles Kane of the band The Rascals, and composer/producer James Ford. In August 2007 NME reported that Arctic Monkeys lead singer Alex Turner and lead singer of then newly formed The Rascals, Miles Kane would be recording an album with James Ford producing and playing drums. Turner & Kane became friends when Kane's previous band The Little Flames played support for Arctic Monkeys on their May/June 2005 UK tour. The Little Flames also supported Arctic Monkeys on their April 2007 UK tour, when Turner and Kane wrote songs together for a collaborative project.

Their collaboration extended into Arctic Monkeys material, with Kane playing guitar on "505", the closing track of second Arctic Monkeys album Favourite Worst Nightmare and on "Fluorescent Adolescent" b-sides "The Bakery" and "Plastic Tramp". Kane also guested on "505" and "Plastic Tramp" at several Arctic Monkeys gigs in 2007, including the summer mini-festivals at Lancashire County Cricket Club and Arctic Monkeys' 2007 appearance at Glastonbury.

The initial recording of the album took place in France in late August 2007 with additional material added between August and December. In December Owen Pallett was appointed to arrange the strings, brass and percussion for the album with the 22-piece London Metropolitan Orchestra. During the recording of the album Turner and Kane hired a documentary film-making team, Luke Seomore and Joseph Bull, to capture the story of the project.

Fall Out Boy - I Don't Care [Music Video - DVDRip]

The video was directed by Alan Ferguson. The video begins with the band sitting in a room next to famous rock stars, one of which is Gilby Clarke, who believe that Fall Out Boy aren't "rock stars". The song starts and clips appear of the different band members breaking laws and causing havoc.

During the video clip, a graphic of a cat eating spaghetti appears abruptly, referring to an incident on The Morning Show with Mike and Juliet, where the same graphic appeared during a segment randomly. At the end of the video, the band members remove their masks and reveal that they are someone else; Andy turns out to be Mark Hoppus, Patrick turns out to be Pharrell, Joe turns out to be Gabe Saporta, and Pete turns out to be Spencer Pratt.

The video goes back to the room from the beginning, and Gilby Clarke removes his mask and reveals that he is actually Sarah Palin. When asked about his view on the video, Pete Wentz replied:

"It's a series of vignettes, and in the end, the joke is: Everyone in the world who is famous is just a WWE character. And some of you are Hulk Hogan, and some of you are The Undertaker, and it's awesome. It's just as great to come out to the boos. This one is about portraying the band, too, because there's been videos where it's been about individual characters, and this one is really a band-based video. Everyone has really equal face time, and there's a communist aspect to the video in the imagery, but we're also trying to [make] something that's equal."

Twilight (2008 Film) - wikipedia

Paramore - Decode (Twilight Official Soundtrack) [Music Video - TVRip]

Hayley Williams from Paramore is a huge Twilight fan and recently talked about her love of the books and the song's title:

"Twilight is the first series of books I've ever read. I didn't get into the Harry Potter series even though I love the movies. Twilight really caught my attention and held it. I'm really excited to see the book adapted to film and excited that our band gets to be a part of the phenomenon. I chose the title "Decode" because the song is about the building tension, awkwardness, anger and confusion between Bella and Edward. Bella's is the only mind Edward can't read and I feel like that's a big part of the first book and one of the obstacles for them to overcome. It's one added tension that makes the story even better." - Hayley Williams

The official music video premiered on November 3, 2008 on MTVu, MTV, MTV2 and on MTV.com and was directed by Shane Drake. The video features the band members walking and performing in the woods, in Nashville, Tennessee. Scenes from Twilight are also intercut.

Double Shot - OneRepublic

OneRepublic - Say (All I Need) [Music Video - DVDRip]

The official video for "Say (All I need)" was filmed in Paris, France and directed by Anthony Mandler. Filmed partially in black and white the video begins with the sound of church bells waking up Ryan Tedder. He dons a jacket and grabs a small black journal and leaves the house. As he leaves the house he passes by Chris Cornell, who makes a cameo appearance.

The music begins and we see Tedder walking and sometimes running throughout the city near such famous Paris landmarks as the Sacre Coeur, seemingly in search of something, while other members of the band are seen in different locations throughout the city. Drew Brown is seen riding a Vespa scooter and Zach Filkins, Eddie Fisher, and Brent Kutzle have individual close-ups on a bridge and walking down some graffiti covered alleys. The band is also seen performing the song in an ex-meat abatoir in Paris, now artists apartments.

As the music swells and begins to climax Tedder races through the city, enters a building and climbs a winding staircase to the top. Reaching the top, he steps out onto a rooftop with a breathtaking view of the city at sunset. He then takes the small black journal from his pocket and writes, "just say," ending the music video.

Tedder has given this explanation for the meaning of the song, "This song is about being happy with what you have in life, and not obsessing over what you don't have. Whether it's a person or relationship, love, or success, or even fame." "We wanted to make a piece of art and do something beautiful and inspiring," said Tedder.

OneRepublic - Mercy [Music Video - DVDRip]

The official music video for "Mercy" debuted in the UK on August 15, 2008, on the music channel Q. Director Christopher Sims used a variety of unique film techniques to give the video the look of old Kodalith photography, where images are high contrast but have a soft vintage look.

The video features OneRepublic performing the song on a deserted beach at nightfall amid windy, chaotic weather. In the video, a young boy dressed as a soldier, portrayed by Jett Patrick, is seen marching while carrying large flags and placing them on the beach in a circle around the band as they perform.

The flags feature the image of the tree logo that appears on the cover of the Dreaming Out Loud album. An original music video for "Mercy" was filmed while the band was signed to Columbia Records. Although the video was never officially released, it has been viewable on YouTube since July 2007, and features OneRepublic performing the song in an abandoned warehouse type setting.
